The Only 4 Jackets Men Need In Spring | Men's Spring Style

Gotta love any season transition, from freezing weather in winter to not so cold weather in spring, its a relief. However, we are in the phase of not a coat and not a t-shirt, which is perfect because layering is a great way of spicing up an outfit. That being mentioned there are 4 jackets that men need in spring (in my opinion). These are in no specific order, all are equally as versatile and awesome.

1. Bomber Jacket

A bomber jacket (flight jacket) was made back in the WW2 era for pilots on fighter jets. They were made out of leather at the beginning, but now we have all kinds of different materials. One of the best ways to identify the bomber jacket is by the elastic band that it has around the waist of the jacket and the cuffs. The one that you see me wearing here is from polyester from Bonobos and I’ve been wearing it a lot not only because of the color but because its a great light jacket that can accentuate any outfit.

2. Leather/Suede Jacket

A leather jacket is a must in any mans wardrobe, this goes year round but it looks great during spring as well. I have an article on how to rock a leather jacket 3 ways, click here. The leather jacket can be worn up or down this spring. One of my favorite ways to rock it is over a pair of vest and pants, you can see it a lot on my IG. There are many styles now in days of a leather jacket, moto jacket style, cafe racer, bomber, etc. there are many. You can also get a suede jacket, which has become very popular throughout the last couple of years. I have a great one from Express and I always get compliments when I wear it. I recommend getting a nice brown one, and spending a little of cash on it, you can find some under $200 with a bit of searching. Don’t break the bank but invest a bit for something that will last a few years.

Where to pick one up: Express, ASOS, Amazon, or even Wilson Leather if you have one around your location

3. Denim Jacket

My denim jacket (trucker jacket) has been used so much this year, I even layered it under my overcoat. This thing is versatile to the max style it up with a tie it looks good with a t shirt it looks good. There are a variety of denim jackets as well, colors, and linings. I have recently picked up a denim jacket with a sherpa lining from Gap, which is nice for chilly spring mornings or afternoons. The denim jacket is a wardrobe piece that will be stylish year round make sure to get one. Something to keep in mind: If you will be wearing a denim jacket make sure that the denims do not match as far as wash, no Canadian Tuxedos here.

Where to pick one up: Anywhere, I recommend Gap, H&M, Levis, ASOS.

4. Suit/Blazer Jacket

Remember that those suits that are in your closet can be versatile, just as much as you can use the pants you can use the jacket on its own. Some blazer types that are in this Spring are unconstructed (meaning that there is no lining, no shoulder pads), fabrics such as seersucker, cotton, and linen will be in season. You can mix up these jackets for casual wear or formal wear. I really like wearing a nice jacket over a white t shirt or band tee. A nice suit jacket or blazer look really nice with a pair of jeans or chinos and can definitely be perfect to wear to work.

Where to pick one up: Banana Republic, Gap, H&M, Express, Indochino, ASOS.
