The Perfect Belts for Spring/Summer: Woven/Braided Belts

There are all kinds of belts, different styles, fabrics, belt buckles etc. Now, we all know that the sole function of a belt is to hold up your pants, but why not have fun with it? This is a great accessory and can showcase your personality in a fun or subtle way. That being mentioned in this article we are going to be covering woven belts. Also, I will be showing you a few great outfits that you can wear this spring/summer with these woven belts.

These woven belts that you will here are from my friends over at Mio Marino. I got a grey one and a navy one, they are great colors for spring/fall looks and very versatile. These woven belts are made of rubber and polypropylene blend (basically making it stretchy). Their woven belts also have genuine leather tabs which make them durable and well worth the money, so make sure to check them out.

Looks

These belts are very much casual and I would not recommend to wear them with a suit. The most I would do with a woven belt like this is a blazer and jeans/chinos with the belt. These woven belts do not look good with dress pants, the fabrics and all clash.

Navy Belt Look (Casual)

With the navy woven belt, I decided to pair up this grey belt with a pair of denim from GAP. I like the way that this looks, you could always put on a different color which could give a better contrast. You don’t have to match the belt with the shoes so I decided to pair these with my suede tassel loafers from Alfani. The shoes definitely gives the look a good texture as well just as the woven belt . On top I threw on a simple white and pink striped short sleeve shirt from Hugo Boss. This is a great look for a lunch date and you want to have fun with your outfit.

Grey Belt (Preppy)

I named this look the preppy look because it looks and fits with the frat boy aesthetic. I decided to pair this look with a nice pair of khaki chinos from Zara and another pair of sneakers, this time my Morgen Classics from Beckett Simonon. On top I decided to wear my red crew neck sweater also from Mio Marino, I love the color and the contrast that . Now you can definitely switch these for something different like some loafers or driving shoes such as the look above. You can also switch out the chinos for a pair of shorts.
