Its that time again where it can become a burden to look good, its hot. The heat can definitely deter any kind of motivation we have to want to throw on anything. But, the style gods have provided us with a fabulous alternative to jeans or trousers, shorts! Yes, shorts are going to save our stylish lives this summer, not only will they let us show of our amazing legs, but they are going to keep us cool. These looks were put together by my good friend Matthew Phillips.

Before we get into the looks remember that shorts should fit and be tapered to your size. What I mean by that is that if your are of a modest size, if you wear shorts that are too long your going to look shorter. It's just the same as with pants. My rule is to have to shorts fall just a bit above your knee cap that's the sweet spot.
Here are four outfits you must try this summer:
(casual to semi formal)
1. T-Shirt + Shorts
This is perhaps the easiest look you can pull off, the simple tee with shorts. I went with a light pink tee, I think that these colors are perfect for the season. I'd also say a nice salmon color or even light purple would go well. These shorts are khaki but always go for the classics, grey, navy and black.
2. Polo + Shorts
Polos are amazing for the summer, you can dress them up or dress them down. This look is awesome for a nice walk around the beach or a meet up for lunch at a patio. This polo is from Lacoste, we went a bit vibrant with the colors as well. Remember guys its ok to have a loud color as long as that is the only loud thing on you.
3. Short Sleeve Button Down + Shorts
This look is a bit more dressed up and this is perhaps what you will see me in most weekends. A short sleeve shirt is awesome especially when you want to show off those gains that you got from hibernation all winter. This shirt is from Hugo Boss, I love it and it has such a simple aesthetic. We went with some white sneakers to keep the chill vibes going. Again this can be dressed with a jacket to level up a little bit or stay a bit warm on those chilly summer nights.
4. White Button Down + Shorts
This is a good look if you want to dress up but feel that its still too hot. There is nothing more classier than a nice white button down and some khaki shorts(preppy). You can even add a tie to this look to dress it up even more. This look is amazing for a nice summer brunch or a nice family gathering. This says, hey it's hot but I still know how to dress up.
There you have it gents I just gave you 12 ways to pull of shorts this summer, try them out!
